Technology abstract:
Magnesium-based solid solution composites for hydrogen storage with the addition of carbon allotropes and transition metal elements were produced by induction melt casting (IMC) and processed by combined methods such as severe plastic defor-mation and high energy ball milling (SPD+HEBM). In this invention, the magnesium solid solution composition has a reversible hydrogen capacity of 6.48 wt.%. The ma-terial shows excellent performance on hydrogenation and dehydrogenation kinetics.
